OK - I'll start things off. Does anybody remember two comedy sitcoms from the early 70s - "And Mother Makes Three" and "And Mother Makes Five"? Every week we were treated to the sight of Wendy Craig in a different full sleeved blouse, sometimes buttoned to the neck, sometimes not. In particular I remember a soft, floaty white one and a great purple satin blouse. UK Gold repeated the series a couple of years back.

Look out for the 1976 Robert Mitchum film "The Big Sleep". It features Joan Collins and others in a variety of white blouses

The original TV series "Charlie's Angels" is a must for bondage fans, but had a lot for blouse fans too. Jaclyn Smith wore several tieneck blouses, some in silk and satin, Kate Jackson had a great range of blouses -usually white - including a classic white satin blouse with full sleeves. Shelley Hack wore a highneck satin blouse in "Campus Angels" and Cheryl Ladd wore a white blouse with a huge collar, and a white tieneck blouse. Catch the repeats when you can.

The 1970s British film "Dead Cert" has a great sequence featuring a barmaid in a white full-sleeved blouse, and the kids' film "Digby, the Biggest Dog in the World" features pretty Angela Douglas in an orange full sleeved blouse.

The Scottish-made 1980s satirical series "End of Part One" featured Sue Holderness in a nice white tieneck blouse.

A couple of British horror movies worth looking out for: "Fear in the Night" has Joan Collins in a white blouse with French cuffs, and "From Beyond the Grave" features Pamela Dunlop in a white full sleeved blouse.

The 1970s UK comedy film "Go For A Take" features girls in black and green full sleeved blouses - but only brief glimpses.

The 1980s US detective series Houston gave us a few good blouses. In one episode his pretty assistant (I forget her name) wears a blue tieneck blouse, and in another she wears a pink satin blouse with a side tieneck.

The British horror flick "I Don't Want to be Born" features Caroline Munroe (the Lambs Navy Rum ad girl) in a black satin full sleeved blouse. There's also a scene with Joan Collins in a beige blouse with French cuffs.

....and speaking of disaster movies, "Airport 75" has Karen Black and other stewardesses wearing beige silk full sleeve blouses worn with scarves. The spoof remake "Airplane" features Julie Hegerty and others in white silky blouses throughout the film.

The film spin-off of the TV comedy series "The Lovers" starring Richard Beckinsale (Kate's dad) and Paula Wilcox featured lots of 1970s full sleeved blouses. Among others Paula Wilcox wears a white one, a red one, a dark blue one and a couple of patterned blouses. Blouses throughout the fim.

The follow up TV series to "The Lovers" was "Man About the House". Most episodes featured either Paula Wilcox or Sally Thomsett, or another cast member in a blouse. They had a good range of full sleeved and French-cuffed blouses with some enormous collars.

The 1973 British film farce "No Sex Please We're British" features long scenes (most of the film in fact) in which blonde lovely Susan Penhaligon wears either a blue chiffon full sleeved blouse or a white full sleeved blouse which she wears with a red scarf. Valerie Leon wears a white (or maybe grey) satin blouse and there are also shots inside a bank where all the girls seem to be wearing great blouses

The opening sequence of the Malcolm McDowell film "O Lucky Man" features a pretty girl in a white full sleeved blouse. And there's a brief shot of a girl in a green full sleeved blouse in the Dick Emery film "Ooh You Are Awful"

The series was "Matt Houston" and Matt's assistant was played by Pamela Helmsley. She also guest starred in some "Buck Rogers" episodes. She was hot!

How about the Clint Eastwood filmk "Play Misty For Me" - it was well known for its bondage sequence when Donna Mills (I think) got tied and gagged, but Jessica Walter, who was doing the tying wore a great blouse - light blue with full sleeves and a tieneck.

The film that spawned "The Sweeney" TV series was called "Regan" and it featured a couple of brief shots of office girls in great blouses. A follow up film "Sweeney 2" featured a pretty blonde in a beige satin blouse. Sadly the TV series of "The Sweeney" was a bit light on blouses, but one episode featured DS Carter's wife in a white full sleeved blouse.

Our very own British national treasure Joanna Lumley has worn a few good blouses in her long career. In the 1972 horror movie "The Satanic Rites of Dracula" she wears a yellow full sleeved blouse. She crops up in a cream blouse and jodhpurs in the TV comedy series "Cuckoos Nest" and in her most famous role as Purdey in "The New Avengers" she wears a beige satin blouse with French cuffs. She wears a white blouse untucked and buttoned up to the neck in "A Class Act", and she gets tied up and gagged in the same outfit. Anyone know of any other Joanna Lumley blouse moments?

The Brian Clemens 70s mystery series "Thriller" was a treasure trove for blouse fans. In one episode, Donna Mills wears a yellow blouse with a huge collar and white silk scarf, and later a blue blouse. In another Hayley Mills wears three different blouses, and there are lots more. Look out for repeats.

The spoof horror movie "Vampira" has a very pretty brunette- Jennie Linden - in a brown full sleeved blouse, and a few brief shots of white blouses.

The movie "Romeo Is Bleeding" has a spectacular scene where bad girl Lena Olin is seen wearing a black satin blouse, tucked in AND buttoned up with a tight black leather skirt & high heels. (Lucy Zara where are you when I need you?)
This scene is about 3 minutes long and comes at the end of the movie, so get your camera ready.:)

Watched a doumentary on BBC Four last night about the 70s news and current affairs programme Nationwide. I forgot just how many blouses Sue Lawley used to wear - a different one every night it seemd. In particular she had a great black silk blouse and a nice tieneck pink satin one, as well as dozens of white ones in every style you can think of. Those were the days.

The "Carry On" film series gives us a few blouse scenes. Buxom Valerie Leon wears a blue 70s blouse buttoned to the neck in "Carry On Girls" which also features a white tieneck blouse. "Carry on Abroad" has several white blouse scenes, and "Carry on Behind" features Elke Somer in a patterned chiffon 70s blouse

UK members may remember a programme introduced by Esther Rantzen called "The Big Time" which launched Sheena Easton on her singing career. There were some excerpts from this programme on TV last night, and I was reminded of the great 80s blouses Sheena Easton wore. In particular there was a cream satin one with big sleeves, highneck, a ruffled front and huge shoulder pads. A thing of its time, but she looked very sexy.
